“Treat” your Dog this Valentine’s Day

Valentine's dayJust as the doldrums of the uneventful winter months begin to set in, our hearts go a flutter as we realize Valentine’s Day is in within sight.  We begin planning special dinners, date nights and special treats to show our very special person just how much we love them.  Sometimes we forget about our most devoted and loving furry friend.  As your pet sitting professionals, we implore you – have you ever considered including your dog in on the day of love? It’s really quite simple to “treat” your dog this Valentine’s day!

  1. XO mini treats should be at the top of your list. These darling and festive heart shaped treats scream “I love you!”  These treats are hand-made from gourmet peanut butter dough and come direct to your pet, in a heart shaped box, from the Posh Puppy Boutique.  The name says it all, doesn’t it? In fact, why not go all out and shop til you drop from their dedicated “Valentine Shop”? They stock every possible Valentine’s Day themed gift you can think of. Toys, apparel, beds, leashes, and much more.
  2. Dreaming about toasting your love to your dog? Guess what? Your dog can now safely join in and join you in a glass of wine! Apollo Peak left no stone unturned when they created their line of dog wine and champagne. From Canine Pawrier to CharDOGnay, they’ve got something that’s sure to tempt your dog’s palate.  If you really want to go fancy, you can serve up your dog’s wine in a fancy wine glass made especially for him!  Why not?
  3. Your dog really does deserve the best of the best, so why not indulge him this Valentine’s Day with some treats from the Lord Jameson Dog Patisserie? We suggest their Simply Coconut two-pack. These completely organic, top of the line treats are made with only the best ingredients. They aim to “elevate the bond” between every human and their pet and well, we all know good food is the best way to strengthen any bond! Oh! And best of all, these treats are hand crafted right here in the good ole United States of America!
  4. The I Ruff You Pup Pie  from the Bark Shop is another way to show your yogurt loving dog, just how much you care.  This all natural yogurt coated pie is sure to please the most discerning of palates. Whole grains, peanut butter, and pumpkin goodness can all be found in this delectable dessert.  It doesn’t end there either, folks!  The Bark Shop is stocked with treats galore for every possible occasion. Your dog will simply be beggin’ for more.

Everyone loves receiving treats on Valentine’s Day and well, your dog is no exception.  The only trick here is making sure that you don’t shower your dog with human treats, especially chocolate, which is toxic to pets!  Try these options on for size and let us know what you think!
